About Affinity
Rooted in faith, driven by compassion, and committed to ensuring every moment truly matters
Born from experience.
Built with purpose.
In 2010, Jackie Authement experienced firsthand how inadequate end-of-life care could be. Frustrated and disappointed, he shared his vision over lunch with business associates: hospice care should be delivered with genuine compassion and dignity.
That conversation sparked the creation of Affinity Healthcare—a commitment to serve families, friends, and neighbors across East Texas with the care they truly deserve.
From fewer than ten team members in a small Angelina County office, we’ve grown through unwavering dedication to treating every patient and family as we would our own loved ones.
Founded in Angelina County with fewer than 10 team members
Expanded from 1 county to 19 counties across East & Southeast Texas
Broadened services beyond hospice to meet patients throughout their journey
3 office locations, planning Palliative Care expansion
